The Innokin brand makes various types of electric cigarettes as well as accessories and parts such as Innokin coils. There is the Jem starter set for MTL, the Cool Fire Mini Zenith is a compact model, the Kroma A 75W offers many setting options and the Endura T20-S is also an MTL damper to name just a few types. Many of these products are suitable for MTL vapors, which stands for Mouth To Lung. This form of inhalation corresponds to smoking, in this case the vapor passes from the mouth to the lungs. If your device is of the MTL type, you will have to take this into account when choosing Innokin coils. We will explain the difference based on the T20-S coils.
MTL and DTL vapors
At the start of the electric cigarettes, the focus was on an experience that resembled cigarette smoking as much as possible. And that goes from the mouth to the lungs. When you see the MTL designation, it is about this method. As the range of e-cigarettes expanded and the user group grew, a need arose for other types of vapors. DTL stands for Direct To Lung, where the vapor goes directly to the lungs. This looks like smoking a water pipe, but without burning it. The amount of vapor is considerably larger.
The T20-S Innokin coils are available in a resistance of 0.8 ohm and 1.5 ohm. A lower resistance means a higher vapor production, making the 0.8 Ohm a Sub-Ohm coil. Yet the power is close to 1 Ohm, the experience cannot be compared with coils that are 0.5 Ohm or even lower. Innokin coils are therefore primarily intended for users who want to stay close to the smoking experience, but with the vapor of e-liquid. Innokin coils are sold in sets of five pieces.
